Community Garden
St. Anthony Park Community garden was established in 1981 by gardening enthusiasts on land leased from the Burlington Northern Railroad. Over the years, the garden grew to 96 plots. In 1998 the land was purchased from the Railroad by the St. Anthony Park Community Council with funds raised by gardeners, local businesses and government grants.
More than 96 vegetable and flower plots are rented on an annual basis. The garden is managed by volunteers. Gardeners pay an annual fee which includes access to a watering system. Plots are assigned on a first come first serve basis early in the year. Gardeners who have had a plot in previous years are given preference. Link to the garden blog.
2008 Garden Plots
The 2008 garden is full as is the waiting list. No more applications or names are being taken for the waiting list for this summer.
